Walking the Walk: Supporting Planned Parenthood & The Trevor Project This September
September is shaping up to be a big month for us—not just in the studio, but out in the world too. We are lacing up our sneakers and committing to 30 miles of outdoor walking in support of causes that are close to our hearts.
One of us has joined Planned Parenthood’s 30-Mile Outdoor Challenge, raising funds to protect and expand access to sexual and reproductive health care—including abortion. Reproductive freedom is a cornerstone of bodily autonomy, and we believe that everyone deserves access to the care they need, when they need it.
The other is participating in the 30 Miles to Save Lives Challenge for The Trevor Project, the leading organization working to end suicide among LGBTQ+ youth. Their resources, crisis intervention, and community support are lifesaving—and this walk is just one way we can give back and help sustain that mission.
Walking Together, Supporting Both Causes
Though we’ve each signed up for different challenges, we’ll be doing the walking together—mile after mile, step after step. Every stroll, every conversation, every blister (hopefully not too many!) is a reminder of why this work matters. Both Planned Parenthood and The Trevor Project are fighting for a world where people have the freedom, safety, and support to live their truths.
Our Goals
We’ve each set a fundraising goal of $500 per cause—$500 for Planned Parenthood and $500 for The Trevor Project. That means, together, we’re hoping to raise a total of $1,000.
It’s ambitious, but we believe in the power of community. With your support, we can turn our miles into meaningful change.
How You Can Help
Donate if you can. Every little bit adds up, and no amount is too small.
Share our challenge. Spreading the word helps us reach more people who care about protecting access to health care and supporting LGBTQ+ youth.
Cheer us on. Sometimes encouragement is exactly what keeps us moving when the miles start to feel long.
We’ll be sharing updates throughout the month—photos from our walks, thoughts that come up along the way, and hopefully plenty of celebrations as we inch closer to our fundraising goals.
At the end of the day, it’s about more than just walking. It’s about showing up, together, for the kind of world we want to live in: one where care is accessible, love is celebrated, and everyone has the chance to thrive. 💜
