Celebrating National Polyamory Day: November 23rd
Every year on November 23rd, we get the chance to pause, celebrate, and shine a little extra light on something that means so much to us: polyamory. National Polyamory Day is all about visibility, representation, and honoring the beautiful diversity of how people love.
For those of us who practice polyamory—or who simply believe in the validity of love that doesn’t fit into a one-size-fits-all mold—this day is more than a date on the calendar. It’s a reminder that our stories, our relationships, our journeys, and our voices matter.
Why Representation Matters
Did you know there’s history behind the date itself? November 23rd was chosen because, back in 2011, the Canadian Polyamory Advocacy Association marked the day when polyamory was first legally recognized as valid in a Canadian court decision. That ruling affirmed that polyamorous families were not inherently criminal, and it became a meaningful milestone for visibility and legitimacy. Since then, polyamorous communities around the world have embraced November 23rd as a day to honor representation, advocacy, and the ongoing fight for recognition.
Representation isn’t just about being seen—it’s about being affirmed. When polyamory is recognized, celebrated, and talked about openly, it helps break down stigma and makes it easier for people to live authentically. It reminds us (and the world) that there are countless ways to build healthy, loving, and supportive relationships.
That’s why National Polyamory Day matters. It’s not just about celebration—it’s about recognition.
Ways to Celebrate Your Polyam Pride
Here in the studio, we’re big believers that self-expression is powerful. That’s why we make products that help people wear (and carry) their pride proudly. On November 23rd—and every day—you can show your polyam identity with:
Patches that add a pop of pride to jackets, vests, or bags.
Pins that say, without words, “This is me. This is how I love.”
Tote bags that are as practical as they are affirming, letting you carry your pride everywhere you go.
Greeting cards that help you speak from the heart to your multiple loves.
Each piece is a conversation starter, a little banner of visibility, and a reminder that you’re not alone.
Join Us in Celebration
This November 23rd, we’ll be celebrating National Polyamory Day with gratitude for everyone in our community—whether you’re out and loud, quietly exploring, or anywhere in between. We’re honored to create tools and art that make representation a little brighter and a little easier.
So here’s to love in all its forms. Here’s to polyamory. Here’s to being seen, celebrated, and recognized. 💜
